Two Pirouettes earn All-Camden honors, Winter Sports Show resumes (VIDEOS)
Note: late on Saturday night, an area scoreboard will be added to this blog post from Friday night action. Then! A new blog post will be added much later tonight that talks about today's (Saturday) action!
At the Camden Conference championships tonight at Renville County West high school, senior Emily Houk and junior Taya Ogdahl earned all-conference honors for the B-B-E/Paynesville Pirouettes dance team. They competed tonight in the varsity jazz division. In that division, Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd won the Camden title. In the kick division, Yellow Medicine East took first place.
At home, the B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team fell 78-39 to visiting Holdingford. From field goal range, the Jaguars shot 36 percent compared to 50 percent by the Huskers. Also a factor in the game: Holdingford launched 64 field goals compared to B-B-E putting up 49 attempts. Holdingford had 31 rebounds in the game, while the Jaguars had 18. Next: the Jaguars travel to Kimball Area next Tuesday for another Central Minnesota Conference game.
Holdingford improved to 14-2 overall, and the Huskers are 6-1 in the CMC in a first-place tie with Kimball Area and Paynesville Area.
