Jaguars boys basketball suffers first loss in Central Minnesota Conference play, Final score at Howard Lake 74-70 in Overtime

The Jaguars (14-3 overall) fell into a virtual first-place tie with the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Lakers (11-3 overall). The Jaguars played a heckuva ballgame against a Lakers team that sported a big front line (6'4", 6'5", 6'7").

After spotting the Lakers a 6-0 lead to start the first half, the Jaguars fell behind by as many as eight before halftime. Going into the locker room down 31-29, the Jaguars had their chances in the second half.

With just under 7:00 left in regulation, the Jaguars pulled ahead 52-50. After both halves of regulation were complete, the score was tied at 62-62.

The Jaguars were led by Matt Goodwin's 19 points, as the junior sharpshooting guard came off the bench to fuel the offense.
