Final Central Minnesota Conference boys basketball standings - Jaguars rise to the top for the first time ever

Final Central Minnesota Conference boys basketball standings:

1st - B-B-E (12-2)

Another big milestone was achieved for one member of the Jaguars boys basketball team, as senior point guard Michael Rodgers earned his 1,000th varsity point in Saturday's win over Kimball Area. The win clinched the Central Minnesota Conference title outright for the 22-4 Jaguars boys basketball team.

Area boys basketball playoff results from Saturday:
*Section 3A:
Dawson-Boyd upset Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg 76-72 to end the Fighting Saints' season in the playoff opener for K-M-S. It was a very tough way for K-M-S to end a great season on the hardwood, where they finish 17-8 overall. Dawson-Boyd was the #5-seed, while K-M-S was the #4-seed. The Blackjacks (15-11 overall) move on to face top-seeded Ortonville in the Sub-Section 3A-North semi-finals. Ortonville is 20-4 overall. Neighboring and conference rivals Minneota and Canby meet in the other semi-final game.
