Jaguars girls tennis travels to NL-S today

The Jaguars girls tennis team travels to New London-Spicer today to face the Wildcats in a dual non-conference meet at 4:30. The 'Cats are in the same sub-section as the Jaguars are.

The Jaguars volleyball team's next action is at home on Thursday night when they open Central Minnesota Conference action against Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted. The Jaguars are three-time defending CMC champions, having won the last two crowns outright after sharing the title in 2006 with Maple Lake.

On Saturday (the 12th) the Jaguars travel to Howard Lake for the annual HL-W-W tournament at 9am, held at Hubert Humphrey Auditorium at the Lakers' middle school.

Update on Tuesday night...The Jaguars girls tennis team fell 7-0 at NL-S, though they battled hard in many of the matches, going a third set in one of them and forcing tie breakers in a few others.

In volleyball news, the Jaguars moved up one spot in the Class A state polls, holding the #11 slot in this week's release. Bertha-Hewitt (2-0) is ranked at number eight.
