Jaguars Wrestling is back at State for the second straight year as seniors Cole Tensen and Travis Winter win Section 5A titles today

Senior Cole Tensen in action during the 145-pound championship match.

Senior Travis Winter in action during the 160-pound championship match.

In a very exciting and action-packed Section 5A individual wrestling tournament, the Jaguars wrestling team put eight grapplers in the Finals Round, with two emerging as section champions.

At 145 pounds, senior Cole Tensen won the championship match in a 9-4 decision.

At 160 pounds, senior Travis Winter won the championship match with a very intense 4-3 win.

Other placewinners for the Jaguars: Ross Rath, 3rd place at 103. Tyler Tensen, 6th place at 112. Brent Goodenbour, 3rd place at 135. Patrick Rooney, 4th place at 140. Dillon Knutson, 5th place at 152.

Ben Borgerding wrestled in the 5th place match, but I left before it was completed.
**Borgerding won the fifth place match by a 7-6 score over Mitch Zastrow of Long Prairie-Grey Eagle. His winning finish in the 171-pound division of the Section 5A tournament was a great way to cap his junior season.

All in all, it was a very good weekend on the mats for the Jaguars.
