Girls State Basketball Tournament update, Championship day
Class A third-place game: Parkers Prairie 72, Northern Freeze 62.
From the MSHSL: "The Parkers Prairie Panthers have been led all season by star guard Sari Noga and the section 6A champions didn’t change their mode of operation in the season finale, using a sterling performance from Noga along the way to a 72-62 victory over Northern Freeze in the Class A Third Place Game at Concordia University in St. Paul. Noga was nine of 15 from the floor, including four of eight from three-point range, and scored 31 points in 36 minutes. Sari’s sister, Micaela, chipped in with 16 points of her own and ninth-grade forward Madison Dorn also contributed 16 points. The Freeze were led by junior guard Liza Hoglo, who was efficient from the floor (11 of 15) and scored 24 points. Two other Freeze players – Tori Davidson and MacKinzie Magner – were also in double-digits."
