Elrosa Saints improve to 2-0 with 4-1 win at New Munich - Showdown set up next weekend vs. undefeated Meire Grove

The Elrosa Saints amateur baseball team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 4-1 win at New Munich (0-2). After a scoreless first inning, the Saints plated three runs in the top of the second to take a lead they would not relinquish.
Elrosa travels to unbeaten Meire Grove (2-0) next Sunday for a 1:30 game. The Grovers beat rival Greenwald 10-0 in seven innings on their home diamond today.

The Region 15C tournament in August will be held in Greenwald. The announcement was made yesterday by Stearns County League officials.
In the Cornbelt League...the Regal Eagles won in 11 innings over New London-Spicer. They trailed 6-0 in the ninth inning and ultimately won 7-6. Other Cornbelt games: Norway Lake-Sunburg 6, Atwater 1. Paynesville 10, Starbuck 0 (7 innings).
