A few random sports notes - big ticket item is the Belgrade Lions' track and field invitational at the High School sports complex on Tuesday

Pierz entertains the Jaguars' baseball team this week Tuesday in a Central Minnesota Conference game.

  • On Monday: Jaguars' baseball hosts undefeated (10-0, #3-ranked) Eden Valley-Watkins at 4:30 in Elrosa. Jaguars' fastpitch travels to Eden Valley-Watkins (Eden Valley) for a 4:30 game against the Eagles (2-4 CMC, 3-6 overall).

  • On Tuesday: the Jaguars' track and field teams host the Belgrade Lions' Invitational beginning at 4:15pm. Other teams included are Holdingford, Eden Valley-Watkins/Kimball, Sauk Centre, Hancock, Maple Lake, Rockford, and St.John's Prep.
Then on Thursday, May 6, the Jaguars' track and field teams will compete at the annual Little Crow Invitational at New London-Spicer. Participating teams are Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City, Annandale, Central Minnesota Christian School, Melrose Area, Minnewaska Area, Morris Area, New London-Spicer, Paynesville Area, Sauk Centre, and Yellow Medicine East.

Field and running events at the Little Crow meet will begin at 3:30pm. The order of running events is as follows: 3200 M Relay - 110 M High Hurdles - 100 M Dash - 800 M Relay - 1600 M Run - 400 M Relay - 400 M Dash - 300 M Hurdles - 800 M Run - 200 M Dash - Combined 3200 M Run - 1600 M Relay.
