Jaguar girls can't shake the turnover bug and lose to Pierz by single digits

In a home game tonight, the Jaguars girls' basketball team lost 68-60 to Pierz. According to early reports, the Jaguars trailed by over 20 points at halftime but battled back to make a game of it in the final period. At one point, after falling behind 58-26, the Jaguars had the deficit cut to only four points. Raeann Sorenson led the Jaguars with 21 points to lead all scorers.
Pierz, who started the season with a 3-7 record, has now won five straight and inched over the .500 mark with tonight's win to sit at 8-7; they are 5-1 in the Central Minnesota Conference, one game out of first place behind Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted.

Upcoming Jaguar varsity action: on Friday night, the boys' basketball team hosts HL-W-W, while the wrestling team travels to New London-Spicer...on Saturday, the Dazzlers dance team will compete at the NL-S dance meet at 1:15pm.
