Friday Night Lights Part III: Huskers romp it up
Quarterback Brian Goodwin rolls out from the pocket in the first quarter tonight. Blocking is Ross Rath (#17) and Nick Benton (#63). |
After leading 13-0 at halftime, the Huskers scored on a 71-yard touchdown run by their talented quarterback, junior Mitch Messman, only two plays into the third quarter. After falling behind 27-0, the Jaguars busted up the shut out when Brian Goodwin scored from a half-yard out on a quarterback sneak. It ended a nice scoring drive where the Jaguars displayed offensive prowess that was lacking throughout most of the game.
Final score: Holdingford 34, B-B-E 8. While the players could care less how other teams in the area performed, I will say this...it could be a lot worse! Check out some of the scores further below...
Here's a glimpse of how the game went...the Jaguars were playing great defensively and had the Huskers down to 4th-and-4 on the B-B-E 20-yard line...
...here's the lone score the Jaguars put up tonight...
