Step III: BBE wins in four to claim SS title!

Waiting for their medals tonight.

Becca destroyed the block attempt in this photo from early in game three.

The 6th-ranked Jaguars volleyball team smoked Royalton 25 to 10 in game four to win the school's 12th sub-section title in school history. They were sluggish to start game one and that appeared again in game three when they fell 25-23 after holding a 23-20 lead. Game two was no problem, though, when they won 25-13 (25-14 in game one).

The Jaguars (26-7 overall) picked up the pace in game four after trailing 3-2 and went on a smoking hot 9-0 run that removed every last bit of momentum and energy that Royalton (17-11-1) brought in their short 20-minute drive to Pierz. The Jaguars then led 18-6 and 21-8 before earning four of the last 6 points scored in the match.

Royalton was in plenty of trouble when reinforcements showed up!! Loved that crowd tonight.

Up next: red-HOT Nevis, who lit up Braham 3-0 in the SS-North championship earlier tonight. The Section 5A championship match will be held at 7:00pm in Pierz on Saturday night. The Bombers, who entered the match 22-5 overall, simply did not have it tonight. I was actually pretty shocked that Nevis took them apart like they did. Braham went 12-0 in the Great River Conference, which shows the type of competition in eastern Minnesota. (Sorry) Nevis is 20-9-2 overall. *Game scores in the Sub-Section 5A-North championship were 25-15, 25-14, 25-14.

Below, the end of tonight's exciting match and part of the post-match celebration!

**NOW we turn our attention to tomorrow night!!! Time to head home. We have the BIGGEST football game in school history coming up. It's gonna be GREAT! I will see you there hopefully.

Signing off until after 11:30.
