A special day for the boys' basketball team

Assistant coach Michael Rodgers, who was a senior point guard on B-B-E's first conference champion boys' basketball team in 2008-09, grabbed the CMC title banner before the team photo today.

The seniors rock!! What an extremely special group of student-athletes.

I don't think anyone in the gymnasium at this moment, during pregame, had any idea what type of lopsided game was about to play out today.

The six-time defending conference champion Jaguars boys' basketball team has three days of solid practice sessions ahead of them before they open the much-anticipated playoffs on Thursday. That night they host Ogilvie or Royalton in the Sub-Section 5A-South quarterfinals with a 7:00pm tip off.

And by the way, I learned that the Class A state wrestling tournament (individual) will start at 9:00am on Friday in St. Paul. More wrestling information is coming later.
