Basketball updates!

With 15:29 left in the first half, the Jaguars boys' basketball team has a 4-2 lead over visiting Pierz.

The JV Jaguars girls' basketball team lost 30-25 to Holdingford. They led 23-15 moments after I walked into the gymnasium...and then went stone cold from the floor with about 8 minutes left in the game.

Boys halftime: BBE 54, Pierz 27.

Girls halftime: Holdingford 42, BBE 34. The game was tied 25-25 in the first half.

In the second half, the Jaguars fought valiantly but could not close the gap to less than two points. They trailed 46-39 with 14:29 to go, and then with 8:04 left Becca Gruber's turnaround shot in the paint cut the gap to two points at 51-49.

Final: Holdingford 63, B-B-E 59.

Final in the boys' basketball game: B-B-E 98, Pierz 55. More updates and content will follow later tonight.
