B-B-E Speech team: Rock Stars!

The B-B-E Speech team is gathered outside the St. Michael-Albertville high school today with the third-place trophy they earned in the LARGE school division. Awesome!

Led by the Duo team of Joe Reller and Riley Schumann pulling down a second-place finish, plus a third-place finish by Molly Tengwall and Kayle Benesh in Duo, the B-B-E Speech team earned third place in the Large School division at a meet in St. Michael-Albertville today. It's the strongest showing yet by the small but mighty speech program, building on first-place finishes at Dassel-Cokato (varsity) and Parkers Prairie (junior high). The St. Michael-Albertville meet draws a large contingent of strong programs from across the state.

Taking first was Mounds View, while Princeton was runner-up in the large school division. Here's the 9th-12th enrollment figures for comparison: Mounds View 1,585 - Princeton 914 - B-B-E 166.

Nice work, B-B-E speechers!!

More awesome news from today: at a home girls' basketball elementary tournament, one of the two 6th grade Jaguars teams took second place.
