Jaguars rock Rockets, clinch share of CMC title!

Three-year starter James Kuefler hauls down a rebound against Maple Lake earlier this week. Without a doubt, he and his fellow seniors on the team are a group of very special, very elite athletes.
Final in Rockford: B-B-E Jaguars 98, Rockford 59. It's the most points ever scored by the Jaguars in a Central Minnesota Conference game. They've been members of the CMC since 1999. Last year's 74-50 win in Rockford was their biggest win to that point that they had in Rockford. This year's win definitely topped that.
Tonight's win at Rockford clinched a share of the Jaguars' sixth straight CMC championship. Six in a row! Wow! Now they need to make it count and make it even more memorable by running the table the rest of the way to playoffs. Up next for the Jaguars is a home game on Tuesday night against Pierz; a win over the Pioneers would clinch the conference title outright - also for a sixth straight season.

At Eden Valley tonight, the Jaguars girls' basketball team lost 52-45 after being down 28-17 at halftime. Junior Alex Evenson led B-B-E with 9 points. The Jaguars (10-11) shot just 9-for-22 at the free throw line...had they gone 17-of-22, not a mark that is unreasonably high, they would've left as winners.

Good luck to the K-6 Youth Jaguar wrestlers when they compete in a team tournament at Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg on Sunday. They are piling up an impressive amount of hardware this season, and I expect that to continue this weekend.
