Pastor's house is unharmed

All is well on Second Street, as Brooten's finest are on the scene.

Late this afternoon, a fire call went out in Brooten to the Trinity Lutheran Church parsonage. It appears that there was no actual fire, or if there was it went out quickly. The Brooten Fire Department responded at 3:41pm to inspect what happened. According to Pastor Kaden, it was a furnace-related issue. Their kids and his wife were not home at the time.

All is well, although it is one more example of just how difficult this winter has been. Everything that has to do with the cold (humans, furnaces, water lines, water pipes, roofs, windows, cars, trucks, you name it!) has carried a heavy burden since the first week of December.
