Tough cuts coming to area schools
Just saw in the Long Prairie Leader...Swanville is facing $294,000 in budget cuts this spring, which is a huge, huge figure for a school of their size.
To the west, Long Prairie-Grey Eagle is facing upwards of $400,000 in budget cuts. They've cut $2 million dollars from their budget in the last 5 years. Meanwhile, their enrollment has plummeted by 220 students.
As well as things have gone at B-B-E in recent years budget-wise, we should all be quick to note that things can change in a hurry. We have to work every day to promote our school and the good things happening here. We have much to be proud of in Jaguar Country!!!
