Saints clinch second in SCL-North

Matt Schmitz had four hits today against Greenwald and reached a 5th time on an error.

A 6-0 win at Greenwald today helped the Elrosa Saints amateur baseball team clinch second place in the Stearns County League North division. The Saints had 16 hits altogether and scored four times in the 8th inning. The Greenwald win, combined with Spring Hill's 7-5 win over New Munich, put them in second place with an 8-5 record compared to New Munich's regular season mark of 7-6.

Up next: the SCL-North playoff opener on Sunday, July 20 at 1:30pm at Saints Field. They'll host New Munich, and the winner gets an automatic bid to the Region 15C tournament.
