Conference dance meet

At the Camden Conference dance team championships, the B-B-E/Paynesville dance team competed at Renville County West high school on Saturday.

Senior Aly Riggs earned all-conference honors in jazz. In kick, senior Megan Carroll and sophomore Brooke Deters also earned all-conference honors.

The B-B-E/Paynesville JV kick team took second place, while their JV jazz squad took third.

Next for the dance team: they travel to New London-Spicer on Monday night.

In a Central Minnesota Conference wrestling dual on Friday, Kimball Area beat Eden Valley-Watkins 57-18.

Also, Minnewaska Area blasted the paired team of Lac qui Parle Valley/Montevideo/Dawson-Boyd "United" 49-29 in a West Central Conference dual on Friday. Both United and Minnewaska Area gave up two weight each at 145 pounds and above to forfeits. The Lakers finished 3-1 at the WCC duals, beating Sauk Centre-Melrose 60-30 and BOLD 45-25. They lost to A-C-GC 34-24 and now stand at 12-10 in dual meets. They have not had a winning dual record this late in the season since at least 2010.
