Elrosa Saints! Season opener

It appears that the season opener for the Elrosa Saints amateur baseball team will be Sunday, April 29 at Spring Hill. That is all dependent on field conditions, of course, and as of now things don't look terrific for area baseball fields.

They had an exhibition game at Clear Lake lined up for today, but that was cancelled.

In other news...a late Sunday night update...33 members of B-B-E's FFA chapter departed for the Twin Cities for the 2018 FFA state convention on Sunday afternoon. We wish them best of luck and look forward to reporting on the convention in the April 26 and May 3 issues of the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper. More than 3,500 FFA members gathered tonight (Sunday) for the 89th Minnesota FFA Convention at the University of Minnesota that takes place over the next two days.
