A busy night of varsity sports (VIDEO)

Returning to their home mats for the first time since December 3 of last year, the B-B-E Jaguars wrestling team went toe-to-toe with No. 3-ranked Becker in the six-team Jaguar Invitational. The Bulldogs had 236.5 points compared to 232 for the Jaguars. Eden Valley-Watkins took third place with 112 points. Ottertail Central was fourth with 93 points, Frazee was fifth with 72 points and Quad County had 68.5 points for sixth place.

At Royalton tonight, the B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team remained undefeated in the Central Minnesota Conference with a 62-52 win over the Royals. This was a key game of two teams who entered the night with 3-0 CMC records. B-B-E is 10-2 overall and keeps pace with fellow CMC front-runner Kimball Area (9-1, 3-0), who played at Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City tonight.

At home, the B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team lost a heartbreaker 58-56 to New London-Spicer in a back-and-forth game. The five-game winning streak ends, and the Jaguars take a 7-3 record into next week's CMC game at Maple Lake (0-4, 0-1). The Wildcats improved to 6-3 overall; they've won six of their last seven games after an 0-2 start to the season. On Tuesday this week at home against Paynesville, NL-S won 62-45.
