Friday night wrestling change...and Valentine's weekend!! (VIDEO)

Due to school being closed today at Long Prairie-Grey Eagle, which is due to the white-out conditions they suffered from overnight in north central Minnesota, tonight's wrestling action at the B-B-E high school is now a dual meet. No. 6-ranked Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Browerville will not be in attendance.

The big news now is that No. 2-ranked Jackson County Central will be coming to town for a huge No. 1 versus No. 2 showdown of the top teams in Class 1A. The B-B-E Jaguars wrestling team is excited for this challenge, and I hope the gym is packed to the ceiling! Action begins at 6 p.m.!

The boys' basketball game tonight will be aired on 106.5 FM.

Gentle reminder: this is Valentine's weekend! It's started! A huge amount of advertising was published in this week's Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper that promotes food and flower/gift options in the Bonanza Valley area. Also, you can learn more about the two locally-owned floral shops by clicking over to The Voice website: https://bit.ly/3HNV3UA. As Julie Lloyd said, "It's Valentine's week! Go BIG or don't go home!"

*Below, here's a video clip from the quadrangular held on February 3 at West Central Area high school. It begins during the 182-pound match with Carson Gilbert in action against Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City:

I will try to get match updates posted here in this blog post during the Jackson County Central dual tonight.

Update: through 138, the Jaguars trail 22-9 on the scoreboard.

Through 160 pounds, the Jaguars trail 28-13. Updates to follow in a new blog post.
