State wrestling brackets are in! (VIDEO)

The B-B-E Jaguars wrestling team earned the No. 2 seed for the upcoming Class 1A state tournament. The Jaguars (19-1) compete at the state tournament on Thursday, March 3 at Xcel Energy Center. They face unseeded Dover-Eyota in the quarterfinals at 11 a.m.

If the Jaguars beat Dover-Eyota, they advance to the semifinals that take place that same day at 1 p.m. In the other side of their bracket is No. 3-seeded Royalton/Upsala and unseeded United North Central. If the Jaguars lose the opener, they will get one more match for sure at state with the consolation semifinals starting at 1 p.m. The third-place match is at 5 p.m., and the championship starts at 7 p.m.

Two state-ranked wrestlers squared off in that match, and B-B-E's Walker Bents came out on top with a win by pin over Cole Holien.
