GAME Night - home and away
We have home and away action tonight for our basketball teams. We begin with the B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team traveling to Osakis, which they have already done, for their final non-conference game of the regular season. The varsity game should get going at about 5:45 p.m..
*Here's the start of pregame drills on Monday night at the high school:
Tonight on their home floor, the B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team hosts Paynesville Area in a big border battle in Central Minnesota Conference play. At stake is second place in the CMC standings, with a possible shot at sharing the title with Eden Valley-Watkins depending on how the rest of the regular season plays out. Tonight's game in Brooten is on the regular schedule. It is also Parents Night!
More to come...later. Right now it's time to pack up for Osakis! Then return for the second half of the boys' basketball game.
At Osakis...we tipped off right at about 6 p.m. or a little after. Currently with 10:19 to go, the Jaguars hold a 12-11 lead. *Update in the first half: the Jaguars have throttled up the press and now hold a 21-11 lead with 8:46 to go after Abby Berge made two free throws.
HALFTIME at Osakis: B-B-E 42, Osakis 22. Halftime started at 18:36. Berge leads the Jaguars with 18 points, while Tiyana Schwinghammer has 13. Other scoring: Bree Thieschafer 3, Anna Jaeger 3, Brooklyn Fischer 3, Adley Hagen 2. The second half started at 18:46.
I'll get final scores posted in a NEW blog post...it's now time to head south back to Jaguar Country for the boys game.
At halftime: B-B-E 32, Paynesville Area 24. More to come in a new blog post! Video is uploading. As of 21:52 this blog post has concluded.
