Updates will be posted here for the B-B-E Jaguars wrestling team as they compete today at state!
The Jaguars are 20-5 overall heading into the quarterfinals, where they face Medford in a 9 a.m. dual.
**Through the first 2 weights, the dual is tied 6-6. Aiden Mueller earned a pin at 106.
After the 126-lb. match, the Tigers are ahead 16 to 6.
At 132, Ryan Jensen has a 5-0 lead going into the third period.
In the 2nd period, Wyatt Engen built an early 3-0 lead. Final: 6-0 win, now we trail 16-12.

Laage's win by pin got the Jaguar faithfull all kinds of fired up at the X!
Three straight pins have lifted the Jaguars to the Class 1A semis! They lead 39-22 going into heavyweight.
Overall, the Jaguars (21-5) won 9 of the 14 matches. Winning by pin in the upper weights were Hunter Laage, Carson Gilbert, Talen Kampsen and Ethan Spanier.
Harley Weber won a 3-1 decision at heavyweight after his match was tied 1-1 going into the final minute.
Final: B-B-E 42, Medford 22. Up next is No. 2-seeded Caledonia/Houston at 1 p.m.
In the state semis: the Warriors hold a 4-3 lead after two weights. After 126, the Jaguars trail 15-3.
Through 138, the Warriors hold a 24-3 lead.
Through 152, the Warriors hold a 30-3 lead.
Through 160, the Warriors lead 33-3.
*Update: the Jaguars won the last 5 matches but lost by a final score of 33-27. Caledonia/Houston advances to the state championship match where they will face defending champion Jackson County Central. The JCC Huskies beat Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 54-18 in the other semifinal.
Next: the Jaguars look to finish strong when they take on HLWW at 5 p.m. today on mat 2 in the third-place dual.
**In the consolation bracket, Medford advanced to face West Central Area/Brandon-Evansville/Ashby for fifth place.
**Against HLWW...the Jaguars trail 12-10 after 126 pounds. **And through 160, the Jaguars have a 23-19 lead. **Through 170, the Jaguars lead 27-19.
Harley Weber bought valiantly for a pin at heavyweight, but he had to settle for a five to one decision.
Final: HL-W-W 32, B-B-E 30. This was a fantastic state tournament for the Jaguars, who finish the season 21-7 overall.
