Jaguars Football Team Takes it on the Chin at Maple Lake

This one, for the most part, was a forgettable game. The Jaguars, who trailed 20-6 late in the first half and found themselves deep in the Irish red zone, ended up trailing 23-6 (a three touchdown-margin) at halftime. While they did score first in the second half, to trail 23-12, it was all Maple Lake after that as the Jaguars were sent packing from a 50-12 beating.

They will regroup this week before hosting Class 2A state-ranked Pierz next Friday night. Kickoff is at 7:00 at our high school sports complex.

K-M-S and Dawson-Boyd, both Section 5A teams, were winners tonight on the gridiron. Both are 3-0 on the season and are shaping up as the two top teams in the nine-team section. On Saturday while I'm at the Sauk Rapids Volleyball Invitational with our Jaguars volleyball team, I'll post the other scores from the CMC.
