Jaguars girls basketball leads Kimball 25-16 at halftime - Final Score: Jaguars 54, Cubs 28

After Kimball Area took early leads of 1-0 and 3-2, the Jaguars went on a tear to open up a steady 8-10 point lead for most of the first half.

The Jaguars limited Kimball to 12 second-half points, going on to win 54-28. They are now 16-7 overall and 10-2 in the Central Minnesota Conference.

Their 10 wins in CMC play marks the first time since 1994-1995 that the Jaguars girls basketball team has collected 10 wins in a conference schedule. That year, when they finished 20-7 overall as District 20 champions and Region 5A runners-up, the Jaguars went 16-7 in the regular season and 10-4 in the West Central South Conference.

Area boys basketball scores:
Foley 66, Melrose 63

In Wednesday's state-rankings, the boys basketball Class AA poll showed Morris Area in the #10 spot. It is their first state-ranking of this season. They are in Sub-Section 6AA-West.
