Make no mistake about it...tonight's boys' basketball game will be a battle

If anyone thinks the Jaguars boys' basketball team is gonna roll over Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, such thoughts should be put to rest.

The Lakers have played pretty solid non-conference opponents this year; their QRF ranking in Class AA currently stands at #16. Last week, they were as high as #14. Pierz, who defeated the Lakers on Jan. 6, stands in a tie at #30 out of all 126 Class AA teams in Minnesota.

Senior guard Jett Leaf is the big gun for the Lakers. He's gone over the 30-point mark a handful of times so far this season. Their second-leading scorer is Cody Painschab, who has a solid inside and outside game. The Lakers are athletic, quick and have a deep bench; I don't see them getting blown off the court tonight.
