Jaguars cut down the nets on a 3rd straight perfect regular season at home...and clinch CMC outright!

Cutting down the nets after they wrapped up a third straight season where they won every regular season game on the home court...

The final score tonight was 85-25, with the Jaguars improving to 25-0 on the season after they buried the Holdingford Huskers in Central Minnesota Conference action. With 9:15 on the clock in the second half, Coach Montbriand pulled the last couple of starters from the floor before running time went into effect.

The entire bench saw action as the game wound down.

Tonight's big win clinched the Central Minnesota Conference title for the fourth straight season. For four years in a row, the B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team has won the CMC title outright! I have to say, that is something where I don't mind seeing selfishness become a factor!

Up next: the Jaguars travel to Pierz for what may be their toughest test of the regular season on Saturday night. The B- and C-squad games tip off at 6 p.m. at Pierz Healy, with the varsity game to follow at 7:30 p.m. The Pioneers defeated Eden Valley-Watkins in Eden Valley tonight 75-59 to improve to 19-6 overall and 11-2 in the CMC. Their win over the Eagles clinched second place alone for their squad in the league. Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted has clinched third place alone and was 9-4 in the standings coming into tonight's game at Kimball Area.

More on tonight's action, as well as more from 'state' wrestling, will follow later tonight.
