Notes/results on the MarriageBigotryAmendment question

A little before midnight, the results from the city of Brooten were reported on the Secretary of State's website. For the MarriageBigotryAmendment question, or in another term "recognition of marriage solely between one man and one woman", it passed by a 171 to 134 margin, or by 55.3%.

While it did indeed pass, I am still proud that the vote was relatively close in Brooten compared to how it has fared in many other rural precincts.


Woop woop! President Obama defeated Romney by a healthy margin in Brooten, 182 to 124 votes. 

School board election results in Brooten show: Paul Weller 247, Kim Trustheim 163, Danny Wold 160, Sue Woolcott 153. 

School board results in Elrosa show: Paul Weller 79, Danny Wold 67, Kim Trustheim 59, Sue Woolcott 57.
