Saints win again! It was a nailbiter
A nail-biter played out today in Elrosa, where the Saints amateur baseball team prevailed 3-2 over visiting Richmond in a Stearns County League contest. Elrosa led 2-0 after the first inning, and the Royals got on the board with one run in the top of the seventh. The Saints added an insurance run in the bottom of the eighth, and Richmond tacked on one more run in the top of the ninth to fall short. The Saints overcame two errors against an error-free Royals defense. Richmond also out-hit the Saints by an 8-to-7 margin.
Ethan Vogt got the win on the mound in eight and two-thirds innings. He fired 115 pitches and earned four strikeouts with one earned run and one walk given up.
