The B-B-E Jaguars baseball team hosts Upsala/Swanville Area in a big Section 6A match up. That starts at 4:30 p.m. in Elrosa. The U/SA Patriots are 13-2 overall and the top-ranked team in Sub-Section 6A-South. The Jaguars are currently the third-ranked team at 8-8 overall.
The B-B-E Jaguars fastpitch team hosts Sauk Centre today in a non-conference game. First pitch is set for 4:15 p.m. at the elementary diamond. They are also looking to gain momentum as they gear up for playoffs. The Sub-Section 6A-South tournament starts on June 1.
The B-B-E Jaguars track and field teams compete at Morris at the University of Minnesota-Morris campus. The meet is set for 4 p.m. although field events may start sooner.
It's exciting to look across the border to the west and see that in South Dakota, they reported just 38 new COVID-19 cases in a state of almost 900,000 people. (That's yesterday's report.) In their state, they never forced children to be masked during sports competition. Not for one second.
