Cross Country meet cancelled

Due to the excessive heat and wind today, the Holdingford cross country meet has been cancelled. The B-B-E/Paynesville cross country team was set to run there today. Just shy of 2 p.m. this afternoon, the temperature reading was 85 degrees. We also have a hot, dry wind coming out of the south at about 15 to 20 miles an hour.

The forecast calls for a high of 88 degrees today, which tops out a string of three days of high temperatures for this time of the year.
