A clean sweep night, wow, and then some! (VIDEOS, UPDATES)

This was a very, very, truly special and unforgettable night. So much to unpack! I don't even know where to begin.

All of our teams won tonight: C, JV and varsity girls' basketball and the C-squad and varsity boys' basketball teams. Plus! The varsity wrestlers racked up a huge tournament win at Paynesville.

There were even more wins than what went into the actual scorebooks. Where do I begin? I don't know where to begin. What an amazing night.

I'll start at the end and then just work back...this blog post won't be really completed until mid-morning on Saturday. I have to be at Elk River high school by around 8:15 a.m. tomorrow morning. I'll explain why another time.

Tonight, in a Central Minnesota Conference game at home, the B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team won 95-22 over Maple Lake. The Jaguars led 58-12 at halftime and expanded that after the break. Coach Anderson began subbing down heavily once the first 6 minutes had passed in the second half.

Next: the boys' basketball team plays at New London-Spicer at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday) with the B and C-squad games starting at 3 p.m. at Fort Knox.

Also at the elementary school tonight, the No. 15-ranked B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team kept their winning streak alive with a 65-48 win over Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City. After holding the Falcons on the first series of the game after tip-off, B-B-E's offense went to work with Abby Berge scoring on a shot in the lane in traffic. The bucket lifted Berge to 1,000 career points with an assist from fellow senior Harley Roering from the left wing. You can watch this all play out below. Berge ended with 34 points in the game.

For the girls' basketball team, their next game is on Monday, January 16 at home (back in the high school in Belgrade) when they host Upsala.

More coming at mid-morning on Saturday...stay tuned. I am heading to Elk River high school early in the morning tomorrow.

SATURDAY morning update: Middle School honors band arrived at Elk River High School at 8:00 a.m. sharp. It has been an impressive morning so far here. Before 11:00 a.m. I have to take off for the dance competition in Grove City. Busy, busy, busy!! So much to catch up on including which Jaguars won individual titles yesterday at the wrestling tournament, and I haven't caught the full listing of the latest basketball state rankings. I only know that our girls' hoops team moved up one spot.

We're at 1:30 p.m. on the clock and it's time to head back to Elk River high school. The B-B-E/Paynesville Pirouettes dance team just performed in the JV jazz and varsity jazz divisions at A-C-GC high school. They were both marvelous!!! Mark your calendars for next Thursday, January 19, when the Pirouettes host their 7-team dance comp in Brooten.
