Jaguars Volleyball Goes 3-1, Loses Third-Place Match to Sauk Centre by a 2-1 Margin

The Jaguars volleyball team began the day 2-0 at the Sauk Rapids Invitational this morning. After defeating Class 3A Elk River in the 9:00 match, they then defeated former Section 6AA rival Melrose Area 25-15, 25-15 to advance into the Final Four round.

In the semi-finals, they lost 2-1 to St.Cloud Cathedral, two-time defending Section 5AA champions and four-time defending West Central North Champs.

The Jaguars dropped the third-place match by a 2-1 score to finish 4th out of the 12 teams at the invitational. It was an excellent day of volleyball and the Jaguars showed they belonged with some of the area's best teams, after competing at a high level during grueling matches to St.Cloud Cathedral and Sauk Centre.
