A costly loss at Rockford - Jaguars boys basketball is stung hard in a 76-74 loss to the Rockets
The Jaguars were tagged with their second loss in Central Minnesota Conference play tonight when they fell 76-74 at Rockford.
It was reported in the West Central Tribune that a running layup with 1.8 seconds left broke a 74-74 tie and won the game for Rockford.
To make it worse, the Jaguars blew a 64-51 lead in the final 7:00 of the game.
This one may cost them dearly. It is a downright shocking loss, after the Jaguars easily handled the Rockets at the B-B-E High School gym back on January 8.
To add to the mounting problems for the Jaguars, this loss may cost them their chance at a #1 playoff seed in Sub-Section 6AA-East.
Big news in the West Central North Conference in boys basketball...the Albany Huskies hosted New London-Spicer last night, and with their 62-60 win they've essentially wrapped up the #2 seed in Sub-Section 6AA-East. It is their second win this season over the Wildcats. The Albany Huskies are now 17-5 overall and 11-3 in the WCCN - what an incredible turnaround after going 5-20 last season (and last place in their conference).
