Jaguars Track and Field members perform at Section 5A meet at St.John's University - Lensing advances to State in two events

Senior track and field sensation Heidi Lensing will perform at the Class A state tournament next week in two events, as she won Section 5A titles in both the High Jump (5'2") and Long Jump (17' 2 1/2")...quite a run for the senior as she attempts to earn more state hardware to her collection.

She also qualified for the 300-meter Hurdles for sections, finishing fifth in today's meet with a time of 49.71 seconds.

Lensing finished 8th out of the final 16 athletes in the Class A state High Jump in 2008. She earned 5th place for a medal in the Long Jump in 2007

The Jaguars boys relay teams did not advance to state. In the 4x200-meter Relay, the Jaguars placed fifth with a time of 1:36.03. In the 4x100-meter Relay, the Jaguars placed seventh with a time of 46.38 seconds.

Levi Anderson placed in the top eight in the 100-meter Dash, finishing seventh in the finals with a time of 11.83 seconds.

More information will be posted tomorrow.
