Jaguars Girls Tennis Team Falls to Once-Beaten Osakis 6-1

In prep girls tennis action today on the home courts, the Jaguars dropped a 6-1 match to the Osakis Silverstreaks, who are 12-1 on the season. The Blue & Silver played a much more competitive match than when they faced the 'Streaks at the Osakis Quad in August (a 7-0 loss). Coach Westrom juggled up the lineup and it paid off.

Tomorrow (Tues Sept 18) the Jaguars travel to the MACCRAY high school tennis courts in Clara City for a rematch with the Wolverines. The Jaguars were narrowly clipped by a 4-3 score at the Benson Triangular on August 27. It is a key Section 5A matchup that will weigh heavily when seeding takes place later this month.

Other Jaguar teams in action: The cross country teams travels to Renville County West on Tuesday (4:00), while the Jaguars volleyball team hosts Litchfield on Tuesday night.

Renville County West will host our Jaguars, along with ACGC, BOLD/Buffalo Lake-Hector, Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd, Lakeview, MACCRAY and Russell-Tyler-Ruthton.
