This week in Jaguars sports

The Jaguars girls basketball team hosts Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted on Monday night (Feb 23) in a battle for second place in the Central Minnesota Conference. They then round out the regular season on Friday with a trip to state-ranked Eden Valley-Watkins.

HL-W-W is 21-3 overall and 9-2 in the CMC. They have won 10 games in a row.

Monday's game will be aired on 106.5 FM.

**Danceline note: The Jaguars danceline team will perform at halftime of the HL-W-W game on Monday night. It is a home game at the elementary school.

When I find out seedings for Sub-Section 6AA-East, I'll get them posted right away. The girls basketball playoffs begin on Thursday, March 5.

The Jaguars boys basketball team is idle until Thursday night, when they host Kimball Area at the high school. The following night, they travel to Sauk Centre in a key game where the Jaguars must win in order to keep their hopes of a #1 playoff seed alive.

The Jaguars wrestling team is in the Section 5A individual tournament this Friday and Saturday. It is hosted at the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle high school, beginning at 2:00 this Friday.
