For the Swanville parent

To the Swanville parent who sent me a nice little hate-mail piece, unsigned, I encourage you to come to Alexandria on Saturday night and talk to me face to face with what you have to say. I'm pretty easy to find at basketball games.

In the mean time, why don't you focus on encouraging your own kids or students at your school instead of trying to tear down the work of folks doing their very best to support our school. Also, if you have to tell someone something, at least have the guts to sign what you write.

In reference to what you were complaining about, there's seriously no way you can interpret it as talking down your Bulldogs team. It had everything to do with me flashing (on accident) one of our own players before he released a field goal shot. I got pretty upset with myself over it. I take that stuff seriously and try to never, ever do that.

While how I operate may be a little unorthodox, if I spend 70 to 80 hours a week doing what I love, I definitely earn the right to want the very best for our teams at B-B-E. And in case you're wondering, that century mark is not important to our team whatsoever. If it was, we'd have gotten it a few times this year. That's not boasting, it's pointing out that playing our bench is more important than embarrassing opponents.

So, Friday in Alexandria, Jefferson high school, 7:00 tip off. I'll be there.
