Jaguars Volleyball Dismantles the 10-1 Pierz Pioneers in Central Minnesota Conference Action

Tonight the Jaguars volleyball team raised their CMC record to 3-0 after taking apart a very good Pierz Pioneers squad 25-10, 25-21, 25-11. The Jaguars never allowed the Pioneers to get their offense going in games one and three. Both teams played with great hustle and athleticism; however, it was our Jaguars who gave the best performance while staying unbeaten in the conference.

The Pioneers fall to 1-2 in the CMC and are 10-2 overall. They were defeated earlier in the season by Eden Valley-Watkins 3-1.

Around the CMC in prep volleyball tonight:
Eden Valley-Watkins 3, Kimball 0 *The Eagles are 8-2 overall and 3-0 in the CMC and host our Jaguars next Thursday, Sept 27.
Maple Lake 3, Holdingford 0
Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 3, Rockford 0

Up next for the Jaguars volleyball team: a home match against Osakis next Monday, September 24. It is a key match that has playoff implications as both squads are in Sub-Section 5A-South. The Silverstreaks lead the Prairie Conference with a 4-0 record and are 5-6-3 overall.

No word yet on the cross country teams, who competed at Eden Valley today.
