In their second Central Minnesota Conference game of the season, the
B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team won 51 to 37 at Kimball tonight. Each team had 17 turnovers, but the Jaguars had a nice edge in rebounds. B-B-E had a 19-11 lead and then a chance at the final shot before halftime, and Tanner Heinsius canned a three-pointer at the buzzer from about four feet beyond the arc. The Cubs chipped away at the double-digit deficit early in the second half, making it a two-possession game, but the Jaguars pulled away down the stretch to improve to 4-1 overall.
The boys' basketball team hosts Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted in the home opener this Friday night. The Lakers are 1-3 overall and are on a three-game losing streak after beating Litchfield 51-50 in their season opener.
Meanwhile, at home tonight the
B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team beat Upsala 71-37 to improve to 4-0. They head to Pierz on Thursday.
