Jaguars Track and Field kicks off their outdoor season on Thursday at New London-Spicer Invite

The Jaguars boys and girls track and field teams will begin the outdoor part of the 2010 season this Thursday afternoon at the New London-Spicer high school track complex. They competed in the annual Central Minnesota Conference indoor pre-season meet on Friday, March 26, at St.Cloud State University.

The meet on Thursday begins at 4pm, and it includes Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City, Willmar, and the host Wildcats. According to NL-S athletic director John Vraa, each school has unlimited entries. So in a sense, it is like a mini-"true team" track and field meet.

A mere 15 minutes after this track and field meet begins, the Jaguars boys golf team begins their season at the Osakis Country Club. More on that further below.

Next Tuesday, April 13, the Jaguars track and field teams will travel to the Paynesville Invite. Teams included are St.Cloud Cathedral, Eden Valley-Watkins/Kimball Area, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, Maple Lake, Melrose Area, Paynesville Area, and St. Cloud Christian. Field events start at 4:30 and running events at 4:45pm.
