Jaycees Chili Cook-Off

The B-B-E Area Jaycees is excited about their upcoming 10th annual Chili Cook-Off contest. The fundraising event, dedicated to the B-B-E Area Food Shelf, will be on Saturday, March 30 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Belgrade V.F.W.

Read more about it here at the Bonanza Valley Voice website, including registration information! Get your team signed up! https://bit.ly/2VZBel4. This has been advertised in last week's Voice and will be in this week's Voice on page four.

And on another note...I came across this article while reading a New York Times column on another topic. However, this really stood out, and I find it important enough to share.

Deleting Facebook is something we should all do. It would be a very positive, collective step forward for our society.

Try it! You won't regret it.

It's raining in Belgrade!

While leaving Belgrade at 4 p.m., I had to run my windshield wipers the whole way to Brooten. It probably won't get bad until later tonight once the temperature drops. Travel with caution out there!

After visiting with Mr. Gossen just now, I confirmed that the girls' basketball game will take place tonight. At 4:15, Holdingford left town to head to the B-B-E High School.

(I checked Weather.com and supposedly it won't drop below 34 degrees through Friday afternoon.)

Stay tuned!

*Here's a friendly update from the B-B-E Jaycees:
The BBE Area Jaycees will be having their annual Island Hop Bus Tour on Saturday Jan. 19th. This year's theme will be a Mexican Fiesta. The bus will pick up at the KA-DE Shack at 7:30 and Brother's Bar at 8:00. The cost of the bus ride will be $20 per person or $10 if you are a BBE Area Jaycee member. The bus will return to Belgrade and Brooten to drop off. Check out the Bbe Jaycees Facebook page for any updated information about pre bus activities or weather changes.
