Today is Thanksgiving

As you read this, I hope you have your health to be thankful for. If not, then you are in our prayers.

Here's a video from last night featuring the sermon and other Bible messages and music at Trinity Lutheran in Brooten:

Have a terrific day for Thanksgiving! Beyond updating the Bonanza Valley Voice website, I'm taking the day off. On Friday, I will catch up on wrestling coverage from the Early Invite in Melrose.

And now it's Black Friday, November 28...
It's time to gear up for showing your support for our local small businesses. Don't forget to support the Belgrade Hardware Store, which is a strong supporter of the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper. Advent service

You are invited!
You are invited to participate in Trinity Lutheran (Brooten) Church’s final Midweek Advent Service at Noon on Wednesday, December  19. The title of this year’s worship is “Praying with the Saints in Advent”. We are focusing on the commemorations that fall during the month of December. Commemorations “illuminate various aspects of the church’s life and mission through the lives of women and men who have followed Christ in succeeding generations.”
Trinity Lutheran of Brooten is located south of Bonanza Valley Lumber, at 141 Pleasant Avenue South.

Also, a reminder of a notice that was on page one in the December 13 issue of the Bonanza Valley Voice: the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa high school concert  (December 3) will air on KMGK (107.1 FM Glenwood) on Tuesday, December 18 at 1:30 p.m.!

(Video) Good Friday worship

Show is a 25-minute video clip from part of the Good Friday worship service at Trinity Lutheran church in Brooten, held last night:

Here in the Bonanza Valley we are battling January-like conditions outside! On Saturday we had a high of 19 degrees, with about three inches of new snow. The wind? Oh, yeah! The wind out of the northwest hovers between 20 and 25 mph!
