The momentum then shifted towards the Knights, as they cut into the deficit to make the score 30-13. WCA/Ashby then took the final four classes, two by forfeit, to score the final 24 points of the match while erasing the 30-13 deficit.
Against the host B/EV Broncos, the Jaguars dug themselves an early 17-6 hole after four matches, then went on a tear to take six of the next eight matches to go up 34-24. The Broncos won the 215 division by fall, then the heavyweight by forfeit, to clip the Jaguars by a two point margin.
The wrestling team of Border West comes from the schools of Clinton/Graceville/Beardsley, Wheaton Area, and Herman-Norcross. This is the second year of that merger. They won the Section 6A title last year to advance to the state tournament.
